PLAYER TO WATCH Freshman Kevair Kennedy leads the Warriors in points, points per game, assists, and steals. Kennedy is also top three in rebounds. He tallied his first career double-double against Boston University in November and had an impressive performance against defending national champions Florida, scoring 14. Kennedy set a career high early in January scoring 24 points against Mount St. Mary’s. He has scored double-digit points in 17 of 18 games this season and has won MAAC rookie of the week three times. NOTABLE ALUMNI In four years with the Warriors Minor totaled 1,349 points, 791 rebounds, 157 assists, and 202 blocks. The Rhode Island native played all four years of college at Merrimack before transferring to the University Virginia for his graduate year. Minor signed with the Long Island Nets (Brooklyn affiliate) in 2024 and most recently with the Memphis Hustle (Grizzlies affiliate). In the 2025 season, Minor is averaging 11.4 ppg, and 4.6 blocks per game for Memphis. Minor led the Warriors in points both seasons he was a starter. He helped the Warriors win the NEC championship in 2023 scoring 19 points in the championship.

HEAD COACH JOE GALLO In their first in the MAAC, Gallo led the Warriors to a 18-15 overall record and 14-6 conference mark to finish in second place. Merrimack advanced to the MAAC Semifinals, where they lost by two points to eventual champion Mount Saint Mary's. After the season concluded, Gallo signed a 10-year contract to stay in North Andover. In Merrimack's final season in the Northeast Conference, Gallo led the Warriors to a 21-12 record, including 13-3 in conference play as they won a third-straight NEC regular-season championship. During the Division I transition the teams Gallo has coached have an overall record of 82-64 (56.1%) and a conference record of 58-28 (67.4%). Player development has also been a calling card for Gallo and his coaching staff. The Jersey native has coached three NEC Defensive Players of the Year, two NEC Players of the Year, two first team, three second team, two third team, and four all-rookie NEC members. Coach Joe Gallo received a litany of awards following the season including Jim Phelan NEC Coach of the Year and HoopDirt. com NCAA Div. 1 Coach of the Year.
