PLAYER TO WATCH A graduate student from Poland, OH, and three-time team captain, Jackie Grisdale leads the Bobcats in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game (as of Jan. 15 th ). Grisdale has started every game for the Bobcats this season and averages 34.2 minutes per game. Earlier this season, Grisdale became the 28 th member of Quinnipiac’s 1,000-Point Club as she drained a three-pointer to reach the feat in the win at Boston College. Grisdale followed up that performance with another game for the record books, tying QU’s single-game record, which was set by Grisdale last season, for made threes in a single game with seven in the win at Cornell. Grisdale is one of the league’s most efficient three point shooters, ranking in the top five in three-point percentage, three-pointers, and three-pointers per game. NOTABLE ALUMNI After graduating in May 2019 with 538 points, 231 assists, 130 steals and three MAAC Champi-onships and NCAA Tournament appearances with the Bobcats, Edel Thornton returned home to Ireland to play professionally. Since returning home, Thornton rejoined Team Ireland and is now currently serving as the Irish National Team’s senior captain. In three games at the 2022 European Championships, Thornton averaged 9.7 points, 3.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game for Team Ireland.
