PLAYER TO WATCH Gabrielle Kennerly has emerged as one of the eminent scorers in the MAAC the past two seasons. The redshirt sophomore was an All-Rookie selection, ranking top 20 in the league for scoring in a massive rebound from a season-ending injury in her initial campaign of 2023-24. This season, she has increased her scoring output to top 10 in the MAAC as of mid-January, averaging about 15 points per game. Kennerly crossed 500 points in her collegiate career with a 30-point showing – her career high – in a victory against Iona on December 21. NOTABLE ALUMNI Dita Krumberga played three seasons for the Mount from 2004-07 and is one of a handful of Mountaineers to accrue 1,000 points in only three seasons of play in Emmitsburg. The Riga, Latvia native averaged 12.6 points during her collegiate career, including 17.9 points during her ultimate campaign at the Mount. One of her specialties was getting to the free throw line, ranking sixth all-time for foul shots made (336) and eighth for foul shot percentage (.791). In 2006, she represented her home country of Latvia in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, making her the 14 th Olympian in Mount St. Mary’s history and the only one who played basketball.

HEAD COACH ANTOINE WHITE Antoine White was named the seventh head coach of the Mount St. Mary’s women’s basketball program on March 30, 2021. In his first season, he guided an already accomplished team to another successful campaign. After securing a third-place finish in the regular season, the Mountaineers won three straight games in the Northeast Conference Tournament to advance to their second straight NCAA Tournament. Since joining the MAAC, White and crew piloted a steady climb up the conference standings, winning games in the conference tournament every year. During the most recent campaign of 2024-25 the Mount reached fourth place in the league while earning a winning record in league play. White graduated in May of 2016 from Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vt., where he finished as the school’s all-time career assists leader with 242 in 59 games played (4.1 ast/g). Prior to his time at Southern Vermont College, White worked as a coach with the KOA Sports travel team, and as the head JV coach and assistant varsity coach at his alma mater, Walt Whitman High School, in Bethesda.
