PLAYER TO WATCH Junior guard Kaety L’Amoreaux is in the midst of a career season, setting personal-bests in points, assists, and steals. She currently leads the conference in points per game, field goal percentage, assists, and free throw percentage. She has been recognized as a five-time MAAC Player of the Week while also being honored with three All-Met Player of the Week awards and a National Player of the Week honor. L’Amoreaux also reached the 1,000 point milestone this season, becoming the 34th Stag all-time to reach that feat. professionally playing for Hozono Global Jairis Murcia in Spain. Lopez-Senechal graduated as one of the top scorers in program history, finishing sixth all-time with 1,598 points while placing second all-time with a .391 3-point shooting percentage. She led the Stags to the 2021-22 MAAC Championship after being named the tournament’s MVP and the conference’s Player of the Year. During her graduate season at UConn, she led the Huskies to the Sweet 16. She was drafted fifth overall by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA. NOTABLE ALUMNI Lou Lopez-Senechal is in her first season
HEAD COACH CARLY THIBAULT-DUDONIS In just four years as Head Coach of the Stags, Carly Thibault-DuDonis has lifted the Fairfield University Women’s Basketball program to new historic heights and in the national conversation as one of the best mid-major programs in the sport. During her tenure, the Stags have boasted back-to-back MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in program history. Fairfield has also received votes in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 poll in three-straight seasons, receiving a No. 25 overall ranking during the 2023-24 campaign. Her historic success was recognized among her peers as she was unanimously selected the MAAC Coach of the Year as well as picking up accolades around the region and nationally. She was voted the All-Met Coach of the Year and the ECAC Coach of the Year as well as being picked the Kay Yow National Coach of the Year by College Insider. She was also one of five finalists for the inaugural Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid Major Coach of the Year after leading the Stags to a 16-win improvement from the prior season, ranking in the top-15 all-time in NCAA Division I history.
