PLAYER TO WATCH Reigning MAAC Player of the Year Amarri Monroe is back for his senior year with the Bobcats in 2025-26. He led the Bobcats in points (18.1 PPG), rebounds (9.1 RPG), and steals (2.3 SPG) over 32 contests last season (2024-25). Monroe averaged a double-double (19.8 PPG & 10.5 RPG) in MAAC play – helping lead Quinnipiac to its second consecutive regular season championship. He finished the ‘24-25 season as the MAAC leader in rebounds per game (9.1), offensive rebounds per game (6.9), and double-doubles (14). Monroe helped guide the Bobcats to a 7-4 mark during the non-conference schedule this year, including a 25-point performance during a November win at Pitt – Quinnipiac’s first-ever victory over an ACC opponent. NOTABLE ALUMNI Former MAAC Player of the Year Cameron Young (’19) is currently playing professionally in Turkey for Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir. This marks Young's debut season with the team and he has been having a standout year individually, averaging 15.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game so far (as of Jan. 16, 2026). Young recorded a MAAC-best 23.5 points (No. 12 nationally) in 2018-19 as a graduate student at QU, shooting 48.2% from the field and 43.7& from three-point distance. He scored a Quinnipiac Division I single-season record 728 total points during the 2018-19 campaign, including a 55-point effort on 2/17/26 at Siena – which marked a MAAC single game record and the highest total for any player during 2018-19.

HEAD COACH TOM PECORA Tom Pecora is in his third season as Head Coach at Quinnipiac University in 2025-26. It’s his ninth total season with the Bobcats (previously served as Associate HC). Pecora – a veteran with 17 years of experience as a head coach at the Division I level – has won back-to-back MAAC Coach of the Year awards after leading Quinnipiac to two consecutive regular season titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25. The Bobcats went 15-5 in league play during Pecora’s first season at the helm in 2023 24, then followed up with another 15-5 MAAC record in 2024-25. Pecora has guided his teams to more than 300 wins as a collegiate Head Coach (stops at SUNY Farmingdale, Hofstra, Fordham, and Quinnipiac). He has coached NBA players at his previous two stops as head coach – Speedy Claxton, Norman Richardson, and Charles Jenkins (at Hofstra), and Eric Paschall (at Fordham). Pecora’s teams have also posted incredible success in the classroom over his time in coaching. He has graduated every student-athlete under his guidance over a 40+ year span.
