Niagara’s beautiful 160-acre campus, updated with more than $80 million in capital improvements in recent years, overlooks the Niagara River Gorge, just four miles north of the world-famous waterfall. The suburban setting combines the old and new; both ivy-covered buildings and modern architectural structures line its picturesque landscape. The university is easily accessible from every major city in the eastern and midwestern United States via the New York State Thruway, both the Buffalo and Niagara Falls international airports, and rail and bus service. University sports teams compete on the Division I level and are members of the NCAA, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the Atlantic Hockey Association. Intercollegiate sports for men include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, ice hockey, soccer, swimming and diving, and tennis. Among the many student services offered at Niagara are an on-campus Health Center, which provides inpatient and outpatient care; the Office of Academic Support, which provides free tutoring services; the Office of Campus Activities, which presents more than 100 extracurricular and cocurricular clubs and experiences; the Kiernan Recreation Center; and the Office of Career Services, which offers professional and career counseling.
