PLAYER TO WATCH Francesca Schiro is a standout freshman guard for the Siena Women’s Basketball team from Hillsborough, New Jersey. A dynamic scorer and playmaker, she has quickly emerged as one of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s and the nation’s top first-year players, averaging more than 16 points per game and ranking among the MAAC scoring leaders this season. Schiro has earned multiple MAAC Rookie of the Week honors and Mid-Major Player of the Week recognition, highlighted by a career-high 32-point performance and several games with double-digit scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals. She also recorded her first collegiate double-double this season with 14 points and 12 rebounds. A prolific high school scorer, Schiro became the first player in Hillsborough High School history to surpass 2,000 career points and earned numerous All-Group and state honors before choosing Siena. NOTABLE ALUMNI Siena Women’s Basketball has a pair of recent alumni joining the Siena Athletics Hall of Fame, with the inductions of Tehresa (Coles) Massena ‘14 and Kollyns Scarbrough ‘18 last February. Coles was the 2014-15 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, and remains just one of four players in MAAC history to eclipse 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 300 steals, and 250 assists over a career. Scarbrough took home three All-MAAC honors and finished her collegiate career top-10 in both scoring and rebounding. The former Coles currently serves as a member of the Siena College Board of Trustees.

HEAD COACH TERRY PRIMM Terry Primm is in his second season as the head coach of the Saints after being promoted in April 2024 following three seasons as Siena’s top assistant. A Detroit native, Primm helped guide the program to back-to-back MAAC Semifinal appearances, marking Siena’s first such run in more than a decade. During the 2023–24 season, the Saints finished 18–12 overall and recorded their most conference wins since 2002–03. Primm also served as Siena’s acting head coach during the 2022–23 season, leading the team to a 6–1 record in that stretch. In his first season at the helm, Siena earned a Postseason WNIT berth, the program’s first postseason appearance in 10 seasons. Primm joined Siena after four years at Florida Atlantic, where he worked as associate head coach. He played collegiately at Palm Beach Atlantic and holds degrees in business administration and organizational leadership.
