PLAYER TO WATCH Brent Bland is a 6-3 guard from Wheatley Heights, N.Y., and the longest tenured Peacock on the team, who has two MAAC Tournament titles to his name. He was a 1000-point scorer and four-time All-Long Island standout at Half Hollow Hills West before committing to the Peacocks in 2021. Bland is the only remaining player from Saint Peter’s legendary 2022 Elite 8 team, bringing a veteran presence. After progressing through multiple seasons in the program, he has emerged as a key leader in the Peacocks’ backcourt. This season, Bland is averaging 15.0 points per game while ranking among the MAAC leaders in steals at 2.8 per contest. He has delivered several standout performances, highlighted by a career-high 27-point game against FDU. His veteran presence, defensive tenacity and offensive production have been central to Saint Peter’s success this season. NOTABLE ALUMNI Keydren Clark ’06 is in his fourth year as an assistant coach with the Saint Peter’s men’s basketball team and stands as one of the most accomplished players in program history. A four-year standout at then Saint Peter’s College from 2002-06, Clark ranks among the most prolific scorers in NCAA Division I history. He totaled 3,058 career points and averaged 25.9 points per game, placing him among the nation’s elite offensive players. During his senior season, Clark briefly held the NCAA record for career 3-point field goals made with 435 before the mark was later surpassed by Duke’s JJ Redick. He remains the all-time leading scorer in both Saint Peter’s and New Jersey collegiate basketball history. Clark also led the MAAC in scoring in each of his four seasons, cementing his legacy as one of the league’s most dominant players.

Head Coach: Bashir Mason (Drexel ’07) – Fourth Season Assistant Coaches: Pete Cipriano (Southern University ’05), Keydren Clark (Saint Peter’s ’06),

HEAD COACH BASHIR MASON Bashir Mason, one of the most decorated young coaches in the country, was named the 16 th head coach of the Saint Peter's University men's basketball program on April 12, 2022. In just his second season at the helm, Mason led the Peacocks to their fifth ever MAAC title to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. The year prior, Saint Peter’s became the first ever 10-seed to advance to the MAAC Tournament semifinals. Mason orchestrated a successful decade at Wagner as the Seahawks' head coach before Saint Peter’s. He led them to three Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season titles and posted a 165-130 record over that span. Mason became the second coach in the conference's 40-year history to win three Jim Phelan Coach of the Year honors. He was named a finalist for the Ben Jobe Award as the top minority Division I head coach four times (2020-21, 2017-18, 2015-16, 2012-13), a finalist for the Hugh Durham Mid-Major Coach of the Year award three times (2021-22, 2020-21, 2017-18) and was the NABC District 18 Coach of the Year in 2017-18.
