PLAYER TO WATCH Graduate Student Anna LeMaster came to the Mount after two years at American University. The Northern Virginia native is excelling in her ultimate season with the Mountaineers, and has been a force for the team, especially when it comes to three-point shooting. She is among the league leaders in three point efficiency and three-pointers per game. As of late January, LeMaster is on track to blaze past the totals she earned in her two seasons at American, where she logged 58 games for the Eagles. On December 16, she set a new career high for points with 25 in an overtime win over Mercyhurst and hit a career best six three-pointers in the team’s 92-57 win over Siena on January 23. She is on track to enter the Mount’s top 100 scoring list in her one year in Emmitsburg. NOTABLE ALUMNI Heather Wable DeWees, Class of 1995, played 87 games for the Mountaineers and is one of four players in program history to secure 1,000 points in three seasons of play. Twice selected to all-conference teams, including a First Team selection as a senior, she was a participant in both Mount’s initial NCAA Tournament contests as the team went 50-2 in league play during her career. Finishing with 1,045 career points, Wable registered her 1,000 th career point in an 81-72 win over Monmouth on March 2, 1995. After getting some experiencing working with Bill Sheahan while injured, she went into coaching and is now Head Coach at Manchester Valley High School in Carroll County, where she is also a Circuit Court Clerk. When the Mount is at home, she is the team’s primary analyst and color commentator for the ESPN+ broadcasts.
