SAINT PETER’S UNIVERSITY

Saint Peter’s University

Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s University is a four-year private university in Jersey City, New Jersey. One of 27 Jesuit institutions in the United States, Saint Peter’s offers more than 70 undergraduate, graduate, certificate and professional programs. A founding member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), Saint Peter’s offers 16 Division I athletic programs. Located on a 30-acre campus in the most diverse city in the nation and just a 12-minute PATH ride to Manhattan, opportunity is at students’ footsteps. Saint Peter’s University has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the leader in New Jersey among institutions in the Regional Universities North category for social mobility, a shift characterized by the upward professional and career advancement of its graduates. The University is also ranked 39th overall and among the top ten on the “Best Value Schools” list.

Peacocks never forget their roots, the people who helped them along the way, and they don’t take anything for granted. Saint Peter’s values their life stories and their whole person, educating them by building their confidence. That’s Jesuit values at work. The goal is to equip students with the knowledge and experiences they need to belong anywhere and know anything is possible. That’s why people look at what Saint Peter’s has to offer and want to be part of it—why words like “grit,” “tenacity,” and “fearless,” are so often evoked in talking about our students and alumni. Peacocks come here with big hearts and big dreams, and they leave ready to give back to the world in a big way—as role models for their families, their communities and their professions.
