HEAD COACH BASHIR MASON Bashir Mason, one of the most decorated young coaches in the country was named the 16th head coach of the Saint Peter's University men's basketball program on April 12, 2022. In his first season at the helm, the Peacocks became the first 10-seed to make the MAAC Tournament Semi-Finals. Additionally, Saint Peter’s established its defensive culture as the Peacocks led the MAAC in scoring defense (65.5 points per game). Mason orchestrated a successful decade at Wagner as the Seahawks' head coach. Mason led the team to three Northeast Conference (NEC) regular season titles and posted a 165-130 record over that span in Staten Island. He became the second coach in the conference's 40-year history to win three Jim Phelan Coach of the Year honors during that time. Mason was named a finalist for the Ben Jobe Award as the topminority Division I head coach four times (2020-21, 2017-18, 2015-16, 2012-13), a finalist for the Hugh Durham Mid-Major Coach of the Year award three times (2021-22, 2020-21, 2017-18) and was the NABC District 18 Coach of the Year in 2017-18.

HEAD COACH JENNIFER LEEDHAM Jennifer Leedham, a six-year veteran in the New York Metropolitan area as a Division I assistant, was named the ninth women's basketball head coach in Saint Peter's University Athletics history in July of 2022. Leedham took over the reins at Saint Peter's after serving as an associate head coach at St. Francis Brooklyn, where she helped guide the Terriers to one of their best seasons in program history in 2021-22. Last winter, SFC posted a 17-10 overall record and finished 13-3 in the Northeast Conference, finishing second in the NEC standings and setting a new program record for victories. Under Leedham's guidance, the Terriers led the NEC in a number of offensive categories including scoring offense (64.7 ppg) and assists per game (14.3). Prior to joining the staff at SFC, Leedham served as a women's basketball assistant coach at fellow NEC member Wagner for three seasons. As a member of the Seahawks' coaching staff, Leedham helped guide the program to the 2018-19 NEC Tournament. She’ll look to continue building a legacy for a historically great program in Jersey City. On Monday November 13th Coach Leedham secured her first collegiate win for Saint Peter’s against CCSU 61-57.
