PLAYER TO WATCH Dee Dee Davis is a two-time captain for the Jaspers. This year, Davis has continued to cement her legacy at Manhattan. Earlier in the year, against LIU Davis recorded the first triple-double in program history since 1994, when she posted a final stat line of 13 pts 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Davis moved into the top-10 all-time scoring list this season. In the team’s home contest against Siena earlier in the year, putting up 37 points, including 28 in the first half. Her previous career-high was set at the MAAC Championships last year, posting 35 points in the championship game against Fairfield. NOTABLE ALUMNI Courtney Warley is one of the best interior players to ever put on a Manhattan uniform. She is currently playing overseas in Portugal, but her mark on the Jasper program has been left and will never go away. A four-time All-MAAC performer, the 2018-2019 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, and Second Team All Metropolitan, Warley finished her Jasper career with 1,295 points and 1,206 rebounds.

PLAYER TO WATCH Ant Nelson – Ant Nelson was a Preseason All-MAAC selection this season and was a Third Team All-MAAC selection after the 2020-21 campaign. Nelson ranks inside the top 10 in the MAAC in points, assists, steals, and minutes this season. Nelson set a new career-high with 11 assists at Rider on Jan. 22, 2022. Nelson surpassed 1,000 career points as a collegiate between his time at Seton Hall and Manhattan. He could surpass 1,000 career points at Manhattan during the MAAC Tournament. The New York native is one of three Jaspers who has logged at least 2,000 career minutes. NOTABLE ALUMNI Tim Cain ’85 graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer and remains the lone Jasper to earn All MAAC honors in each of his four seasons in Riverdale. Cain began his illustrious career by being named the MAAC Rookie of the Year while also collecting first-team honors after averaging 15.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game as a freshman in 1981–82. He followed that up by notching 17.7 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore before checking in with a career-high 20.9 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game as a junior in 1983–84, and was named to the All-Metropolitan First Team. Thanks to a senior campaign in which he averaged 15.5 points per game, he finished his career with a then school record of 1,872 points (currently third) on the strength of a still-standing record of 776 field goals.

Heather Vulin is in her seventh year at the controls of the Jasper program. Under her guidance, the Jaspers advanced to the MAAC Championship game last season and, in the year prior, qualified for the WBI. Manhattan has consistently been one of the best rebounding teams, with her at the helm, being one of the top rebounding teams in the MAAC in that category. Vulin developed both Courtney Warley and current Manhattan standout guard Dee Dee Davis to multiple MAAC, Metropolitan awards.
